Axel and Blaze were introduced in the 2nd round tiebreaker match between the Sunset Riders and Leonardo & Michelangelo, where they were declared the victors. In round 3, they defeated the Wario Bros, but were eliminated by fellow Sega All-Stars Sonic & Tails in the fourth round.
