Norman Osborn, CEO of Oscorp, suffered an accident with a secret formula while trying to become superhuman. Instead, it slowly drove him insane, turning him into the Green Goblin, his obsessions with Spider-Man and power growing every day.
When Osborn killed the Skrull Queen Veranke and stopped the Skrull's Invasion of Earth, he was put in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. He started his own Dark Avengers team, creating for himself the new persona of the Iron Patriot!
Following Osborn's failures as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., he reverted back to his old ways as the Green Goblin.

Osborn defeated Quasar in the opening round, but was eliminated by Stature in round 2.

Norman (as the Goblin) defeated Shrek in the opening round, but defeated by the TMNT in the second.
